Buzz about plastic clogs

I’ve been seeing a lot of nurses wearing Crocs inside the Hospital. But in Vienna, the plastic clogs are banned as safety hazards. According to the news, Crocs aren’t antistatic and could obstruct with the right operation of electronic equipments in the hospital plus it can also lead to outburst. The ban will be strongly implemented particularly in ICU (intensive care units), OR (operating rooms) and other departments such as dialysis and radiology where antistatic wear is necessary. They’ve been no recorded incidents concerning these plastic clogs but they wanted to implement precautionary actions as early as now.
I have nothing against Crocs; in fact I adore the ballet-inspired style named Prima. It is so cute!
